Pumpkin Soup

100_0238Today Ms. Joan made pumpkin soup for Year 5.1 children, to celebrate Halloween. It was delicious! It was such a lovely surprise! Why don’t you try it too? Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients: 3 potatoes, 2 onions or leeks, 500g pumpkin, 1 chicken cube, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, dash of pepper, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 heaped spoon tomato paste, 1 litre water.

Method: Chop onion/leeks, potatoes, and pumpkin and set aside. Fry onions/leeks in olive oil until golden. Add potatoes and pumpkins together with the water. Stir in the tomato paste, turemic, ginger, pepper and rosemary. Let simmer for about 25 minutes. When a little cool, liquidise.

Post photos of your pumpkin soup in our facebook group. Buon appetito 🙂
