For another year WasteServ and Fimbank will be organising the Battery Buster Campaign. Last year 10,000kg of batteries were collected, an increase of 9,500kg when compared to what was usually collected from the general public.
This year again, students are encouraged to collect used batteries and put them in sets of 5 in a paper bag that will be given from school. The school collecting the highest amount of batteries by weight per capita will be given a cash prize of 2500 Euro. All students participating in this competition will have a chance of winning the following prizes:
– 1 MacBook white
– 4 iPod touch 8GB
– 15 iPod Shuffle 2GB
We encourage all students to participate and help further in the protection of our environment.
