The Archbishop of Malta, His Excellency Paul Cremona, visited Maria Regina College St. Paul’s Bay Primary on Thursday 5th November 2009. He was greeted by the children, around 770 in all. In the yard, the school choir sang the College and School hymn and a another hymn which was purposely written for the occasion ‘Merhba Pawlu’. Another group of children mimed the song “Love Shine a Light”. Later the Archbishop was presented by around 40 hampers which were collected by all the school children. These will be donated by His Excellency to children and families in need. At the end of the ceremony the Archbishop cut a big cake. Later on in the day he visited all the classrooms and conversed with children and teachers. Before leaving he unveiled a plaque that commemorated his pastoral visit.
